DMCGS Research Procedures

The DMCGS Research Committee:

 Genealogical Research Policy

Please provide us with a thorough description of your research problem and tell us how many hours of research you want performed at the rate of $5 per hour. Send the first $10 with your request. with a self addressed and stamped envelope for communication.

You will be billed for the remainder of the research costs upon completion of your research. Whenever possible, you will receive a photocopy of the original record but if that is not possible, a transcription of the record.

Cost of photocopies: (Fees are set buy the Des Moines County Court House)
Recorders Office $3 per page  $5.00 effective April 1, 2010
Real Estate (if on computer) 25 cents ea. or
$1 per page and $2 for two or more pages
Clerks Office - 50 cents per page
